eWeLink App V5.20 Update: NSPanel Temperature Readings in Home Ambience

Table of Contents

Staying comfortable at home often comes down to the right balance of temperature and humidity. That’s where the Home Ambience section in the eWeLink App comes in—it’s designed to help you keep an eye on your home’s environment at a glance.

What is Home Ambience?

As a key section within Insight, Home Ambience is designed for monitoring your home’s environment. It gathers real-time temperature and humidity data from your compatible sensors, giving you a clear picture of your home’s climate at a glance.

What's new?

You no longer need to search for the specific device card to see your NSPanel’s temperature. With V5.20, this data is seamlessly streamed to the Insight > Home Ambience section. Now, get a quick, consolidated overview of your home’s environment—including the temperature from your NSPanel—all in one dedicated space, making monitoring more efficient than ever.

Why does this matter for you?

Imagine this:

  • You’re sitting in the living room and wondering if it’s time to adjust the air conditioner. Instead of guessing, you can quickly check the actual room temperature reported by your NSPanel in Home Ambience.
  • When working in a home office, you may want to know if the temperature is drifting too high during the afternoon sun. A quick look at Home Ambience saves you from digging through device cards in the app.

This makes it easy to track real-time temperature across different rooms—all within the app.

A Glimpse at Other Insight Sections

The Insight tab goes beyond temperature monitoring. You can customize it to include:

  • Camera Live View: View feeds from your security cameras directly in Insight.
  • Devices On: See a clear overview of all currently powered-on devices.
  • Energy Dashboard: Track and analyze device electricity consumption.
  • Presence Simulation: Enhance security by having lights turn on/off randomly to simulate someone being home.
  • Thermo Plugin – Introduced in V5.18, this feature lets you automate heating or cooling by pairing a temperature sensor with a switch or thermostat. To use it, go to Profile > Pilot Features and enable the Thermo Plugin. Once enabled, you’ll find it in the Insight tab, where you can set up automations based on your preferred comfort level.

The V5.20 update makes NSPanel even more useful by bringing its temperature sensor into the eWeLink App’s Home Ambience. It’s a simple addition, but one that gives you more clarity about your indoor comfort—without having to check each device individually.
