What Improvements Have Been Made to the "Insight" Tab in eWeLink App 5.3?

1. Customize Your Insights Sections

In the latest eWeLink app version 5.3, enhancements have been made to the “Insight” tab. One of the key upgrades is the introduction of customizable Insight sections, marking a departure from the previously fixed layout. Previously, users were confined to predefined sections, but now they have the freedom to select and arrange sections according to their preferences.

For example, some users may not be interested in monitoring their home security system, so they can remove the Camera Live View section from Insight. Others who haven’t installed energy monitoring devices can hide the Energy Dashboard section.

2. Exclude Specific Devices in Devices On Section

Furthermore, the introduction of the ability to exclude specific devices in the “Devices On” section adds another layer of customization and functionality. For devices that require continuous power, users can exclude them in the Devices On section. When using the “All Off” feature, these excluded devices will not be turned off. This feature caters to users with devices that need to remain operational 24/7, such as security cameras or network infrastructure.

What's Coming Up

In eWeLink app V5.4, the Presence Simulation in Insight will allow for specified channel selection for multi-channel devices. We will also raise the group number limit of the Energy Dashboard to 16. Furthermore, in eWeLink app V5.5, the Presence Simulation is anticipated to include the option to select the duration for which devices remain continuously on. Stay tuned for updates.
