Invalid Scene Marking: Easily Spot Broken Scenes with Deleted Devices
With eWeLink’s Invalid scene tagging, your smart home stays reliable. No more guessing which scenes broke after a cleanup—just clear alerts and quick fixes.
Whether it’s a chilly winter morning or a sweltering summer day, staying comfortable indoors shouldn’t mean constant manual adjustments. With the eWeLink App V5.18, temperature control becomes smarter and easier, thanks to the new Thermo Plugin, now available under Profile > Pilot Features. This update also brings a cleaner, more intuitive registration interface for quicker sign-up.
Let’s take a closer look at how these new features can make your home more comfortable and energy-efficient.
The Thermo Plugin is a new feature that allows users to automate heating or cooling by pairing a temperature sensor with a switch or thermostat. Once configured, the system adjusts the connected device based on the current and target temperatures, helping users maintain a comfortable indoor environment with minimal effort.
● Smart Pairing
Link a sensor (e.g., temperature sensor) with an actuator (e.g., smart switch) to maintain your ideal temperature.
● Customizable Preference Modes
Choose from 5 preferences (Comfort, Eco, Sleep, Home, Away) or set a custom temperature (-10–60°C / 14–140°F).
● Schedules & Keep (timed temperature hold) (advanced feature)
Set daily routines (up to 7/day) or hold a temperature for a set duration (e.g., “Cool to 25°C for 2 hours”).
● Temperature Deviation Alert
Receive a notice when the current temperature deviates from your target by 3°C/37℉ or 5°C/41℉.
Stay on top of sudden changes and react quickly to keep your environment comfortable.
● Scene Integration
Use the Thermo Plugin as scene triggers or actions to build powerful automation routines. For example, when a light switch turns on, automatically activate the cooler of the Thermo Plugin to cool the room to 26°C. This lets you build flexible, temperature-aware automations that match your daily routine.
To try out the Thermo Plugin:
Pre-Cool Before You Get Home
Set an “Arrive Home” schedule at 5:30 PM, so your living room cools down to 25°C just before you walk in the door—no more waiting in a hot room.
Fall Asleep Faster with Night Cooling
Activate “Sleep” mode at 11 PM to gradually lower the temperature to 26°C, helping you fall asleep faster and stay cool through the night.
Cool Down Your Workout Space
Schedule “Comfort” mode in your home gym before your workout session, keeping the room at an ideal 24°C without lifting a finger.
Note: Free users can add up to 3 Thermo plugins. Upgrade to the Advanced Plan to add up to 10 and access powerful features like Schedules and Keep (timed temperature hold).
The registration page now features a simplified layout and clearer buttons, making it easier than ever for new users to get started.
Ready to take control of your home’s climate? Update to eWeLink App V5.18 and try the Thermo Plugin today. The new version has been submitted to Google Play and will roll out gradually over the next few days. iOS users—hang tight, the update is expected to arrive by the end of July.
